Rivermarket Bar and Kitchen in Tarrytown, New York is a good spot to grab tasty, American fare dinner in this area. It is within walking distance of the train station and the Hudson River. The vibe is American steakhouse /Gastropub with a slightly contemporary hotel feel. The inside is large and spacious with modern banquettes as well as a very large sit down bar area. We chose to sit at the bar and our bartender was informative and capable. In terms of dinner, we ordered oysters, steak, and a small salad. All of the food was well prepared and very fresh, but nothing overly memorable. As per a large bar and restaurant, it had many drink items and we stuck to fairly straightforward wines and beers. This is a good place for business meetings, slightly nicer family, dinners, and for date nights in this area.
Such a gem! We absolutely adored the stunning Hudson view, had a great meal, and an adorable server!!! Our food took a while to come out from the kitchen, but it was pretty busy when we went, and the gorgeous view made the wait no problem at all-- plus the food was completely worth!
We had a wonderful time here and the food and drinks were delicious. Had the lobster rolls and it was full of lobster. Also we brought out pup to sit outside and they were so sweet to him. Immediately brought a bowl with cold water for him. Loved it
This place deserves more than a 2.9 stars average review. We found this place because we wanted something near the water and we walked in at 5:45pm and got seated right away for our party of 4. I ordered the bread as an appetizer which was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! They served it with room-temp butter (perfect for spreading vs cold butter!) and olive oil on the side. Nice touch! I ordered the papperdelle pasta with the bolognese sauce which is a custom order and I could tell everything tasted so fresh. My husband ordered the Bianca pizza and added sausage & arugula --- I'm not usually a fan of pizza in general but this one was DIVINE. The crust was nice and puffy and had a good bite and the bottom was crispy like it should be! The other two in our party ordered the gnocchi (deliciously melt in your mouth!) and chicken Caesar salad! Both of them loved it! We ordered the Nutella brownie for dessert and that was DELECTABLE! A very well made brownie with a side of ice cream and chocolate toffee crumbs on the side! Prices were high but that's what I expect of a place with a good view & good quality food! We're from out of town and we'll be back!!
Was here for dinner on a Saturday night and the place had a nice ambiance. The inside and patio were mostly full but we still received timely and kind service. I ordered the chicken burger and our table had the market salad, truffle fries, Brussel sprouts, and spinach to share as appetizers (we were a party of seven and finished most of the food). The burger was good (a little bit smokey tasting) and other members of our table reported enjoying the sea bass and salmon specifically.
